Children’s Health Care Department
Children’s Health Care Department of the Hospital, founded in 2006, is a clinical department underpinned by Children’s internal medicine and featuring interdiscipline. Thanks to an approximately decade of development and the innovation of children’s nursing concept, it is seeing an improving profession setting, making it a department developing the fastest with distinctive features in the Hospital. Furthermore, as one of the largest children’s health care centers with most complete profession in Shaanxi Province, it integrates medical treatment, scientific research and preventive medicine, especially boast superiority in early intervention of high-risk infant and children’s mental health care.
Complete Profession: Children’s Health Care Department of the Hospital is staffed by a high-competence professional team, which is proficient in medical treatment, health care, nutrition and developmental behavioral pediatrics and the research on children’s rehabilitation. At present, it has a staff of 54 people, of which, 4 chief physicians, 4 resident physicians, 6 physicians, 10 rehabilitation therapist and 24 nursing personnel at all levels, 6 professional baby care educators, and 5 pediatrics masters, who come under 6 professional groups, i.e. Infant growing development monitoring, nutrition feeding guidance, early intervention of high-risk infant, cerebral palsy rehabilitation treatment, infant brain potential development and children’s mental behavior, which make possible the offer of integrated services including health examination, assessment, consultation, guidance and intervention and the building of a new mode of children’s health care, which integrates the prevention and treatment, and the medicine and education.
Advanced medical instruments: the Center is equipped with domestically and internationally advanced medical instruments, such as large color doppler ultrasounds like Philips IE 33 and GE P6, children’s ultrasound bone strength detector, vision tester, neonatus hearing screening instrument and children’s rehabilitation treatment instrument, such as main and collateral channels therapeutic apparatus, cerebral circulation therapeutic apparatus, cerebral therapeutic apparatus, hydrotherapy apparatus, motion-sensing music therapeutic apparatus, multiple language test and assessment and training equipment as well as cerebral biofeedback therapeutic apparatus, together with a large number of children’s intelligence and psychology test and assessment tools and software.
Ample and warm room: the Center on the new site has a total of 2,600m2, which houses reception and triage area, visit area, waiting area, children’s activity area, early education area and rehabilitation area, which features warm, ample, bright and reasonable layout. The design as a whole reflects the people-oriented features with setting of breast milk feeding room, children’s playground, and the drawing on the walls, making the center a world of fairy tale, in which, every parent and kid coming for health examination and treatment may feel comfortable, warm and happy.
